Exact-location picking starts before the order arrives
For inventory-backed picking, every sellable unit should already have a stable physical location. Import existing eBay listings into Inventory Manager, confirm seller and variation identity, and assign pullable stock to exact location SKUs. For eligible new Card Lister listings, Push to Inventory can record the returned eBay item ID and Inventory Manager handoff together after the live listing succeeds.
Sync awaiting-shipment orders and use the available accounting mode
- Open Order Pick List. It is separate from Inventory Manager’s inventory and publish workspaces.
- Use Sync eBay Orders. Card Throne reads current awaiting-shipment orders for the connected seller account.
- Match the sold line safely. Exact eBay item and variation evidence takes priority over broader seller-SKU or title fallbacks.
- Use the available accounting mode. With Inventory Manager stock, a matched unit moves from available to reserved at its exact leaf location. In orders-only mode, the eBay SKU remains the pull reference and no local reservation is created.
- Review the result. Ready rows become pull work; Short and Needs review rows stay visible for a seller decision.
The Order Import tab also supports the awaiting-shipment report workflow. An active-listings import is not a substitute because it describes listings, not the buyer order that needs to be pulled.
Let the status tell you whether it is safe to walk to storage
| Status | Meaning | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Ready | The order line has a safe pull reference and quantity path | Pull the displayed location, confirm the item, then Mark Picked |
| Short | Local available stock cannot safely cover the ordered quantity | Investigate the physical stock and listing before shipping or publishing |
| Needs review | The sold identity is missing, ambiguous, stale, or not safely mapped | Resolve it to the exact seller-owned inventory row or leave it unresolved |
Variation sales require the exact sold child SKU or variation identity. Sharing a parent eBay item ID does not make sibling variations interchangeable.
Pull the card first, then record completion
- Work from the displayed Pull Location: an exact physical location for inventory-backed rows or the eBay SKU reference for orders-only rows.
- Confirm the card, printing or finish, condition, and quantity against the order.
- Physically remove the unit from storage.
- Choose Mark Picked.
- If Card Throne reports a stale location and supplies a replacement, pull the replacement before retrying.
For an inventory-backed row, Mark Picked moves the exact reserved unit into picked history. For an orders-only row, it clears the order task without creating a reservation or changing local quantities. Neither path creates another sale or reduces the marketplace quantity a second time. Pick CSV and printable pull-sheet exports use the same current rows when you want a paper workflow.
Correct an inventory-backed hold without hiding the order
- Return to inventory releases the exact reserved location to available and moves the still-open line to review. It does not mark the item picked.
- Select replacement moves the reservation to one exact available seller-owned location while preserving the sold listing’s marketplace accounting.
- Canceled orders can release still-reserved stock; already-picked units require an explicit correction.
- Move back to Pick List returns an accidentally picked row to reserved for the same order and location.
Order Pick List requires an eligible seller account with the applicable feature access. Unlimited is $8.99 per month.
