Create and edit eBay variations

Choose the right tool

Variation Editor works on the selected existing parent. It does not create a new parent or turn unrelated listings into one automatically.

Prepare a new variation listing

1. Open List Singles. Choose your Configuration Profile and the eBay Variation listing type.
2. Add each child card and check its identity, condition, SKU, quantity, price, and photo.
3. Set the shared parent title, parent SKU, cover image, category, policies, and item specifics.
4. Review each buyer-facing child label. Card Throne Room uses the displayed List row title when available.
5. Run Check Readiness and resolve blockers. Read any warning about continuing without a verified catalog ID.

The parent SKU identifies the listing. Each card's physical location remains separate, so you can still find the exact copy after it sells.

Export or publish the new parent

Export CSV > eBay CSV downloads one parent row followed by child rows. It does not create a live listing or add Inventory stock. Upload and review the file in Seller Hub yourself.

For direct publishing, choose Add to Inventory and keep List on eBay selected. Review the variation parent and destination choices, then choose Publish. Card Throne Room waits for a real eBay item ID and verifies the Inventory handoff.

The optional fixed-price duplicate suggestions are not shown for variation batches.

Open and update an existing parent

1. Open Inventory Manager > Variations and select the exact parent.
2. Choose Check eBay for Updates to compare the saved view with eBay.
3. If eBay changed, read the differences and choose Import eBay Updates. This refreshes the local view and carries forward compatible draft edits without changing eBay.
4. Edit the parent or children. You can add a row or bring in compatible Card Lister batch or CSV rows.
5. Check each child's label, SKU, quantity, price, and photo.

Removing an existing child from the draft does not remove it from eBay yet. Use Undo if you change your mind, then include the removal in Review Changes.

Importing updates can add missing local child stock when its identity is proven. Existing reservations, picked history, and higher local stock remain protected.

Review and publish changes

1. Choose Review Changes. Read the before-and-after values for the parent and each child.
2. Resolve missing fields, conflicting SKUs, stale data, quantity ambiguity, and photo problems.
3. Choose Publish changes only when the reviewed result is correct.
4. Wait for eBay verification and the local Inventory result.

If eBay accepts the change but Inventory finalization is interrupted, use the saved recovery action. If the screen offers Leave recovery safely, follow it and review again when the editor unlocks. Do not rebuild and resubmit the same accepted changes as a new attempt.

Check identity, order, and recovery

• Match a child by its exact SKU and variation details under the correct parent. The parent item ID alone is not enough.
• Leave blank eBay seller SKUs blank unless you intend to assign one.
• Keep each physical location. Removing a child listing does not remove the cards from local stock.
• For a single-axis parent, Current eBay order means the buyer-facing selector sequence. Seller Hub's table order can differ.
• For a multi-axis parent, separate selector lists cannot prove one order for every combination.
• If eBay reports an image limit, read the recovery result before retrying. Completed uploads can be reused.
• After an external edit or a draft change in another tab, import current data when needed and run Review Changes again.
