Card Throne Room
Read-only AI access ยท Beta

Connect read-only AI access

Connect a compatible AI client to search and summarize your inventory. It can read supported inventory and market-price fields, but cannot change your stock or listings.

What your AI client can read

ToolUse it to
Inventory summaryRead totals, listed value, physical quantity states, and pending-work counts.
Inventory searchFind cards by title, SKU, collector number, catalog ID, or eBay item ID.
Exact-price lookupFind listings at a specific price, with supported marketplace, currency, stock, and location filters.
Catalog market pricesRead USD raw-card references for up to 50 exact inventory results.
Inventory reportPage through inventory with exact saved game, set, language, condition, printing, and stock filters.
Price comparisonCompare matching currencies and get unsaved price suggestions to review in Room.
Physical locationsFind every location for a card, including reserved and picked quantities.
Pending workRead review, price, pick, order, and publish queues with links back to Room.
Inventory activityRead record age and recorded orders, with sales-history limits shown.

All nine tools read only the inventory of the account that created the token. They cannot edit prices, quantities, locations, or listings.

Connect an AI client

Access is limited during rollout. If Read-only AI access is not available in your Account Settings, your account cannot set up this connection yet.

  1. Open Configuration, then Account Settings > Read-only AI access.
  2. Create a token with a label for this client. The token lasts 90 days and its full value appears once.
  3. Use the endpoint https://room.cardthrone.com/mcp/, including the trailing slash.
  4. In the client's connection settings, set Authorization: Bearer <your-token>.
  5. Connect and confirm that the nine read-only tools appear.
The client must support Streamable HTTP and a custom Authorization header. Automatic MCP OAuth setup is not available.

Try an inventory request

  • "Summarize my Card Throne Room inventory and pending work."
  • "Find my in-stock listings priced at $2.00 USD."
  • "Search for Charizard and include physical locations."
  • "Find seller SKU CT-1234."
  • "Compare these listing prices with their Card Throne Room market values. Keep the currencies separate."
  • "Report my available inventory by saved set. Follow every report page and show any missing identity fields."
  • "Show the pending work I can review in Room, with links."
  • "Find every physical location for this inventory item."

Ask the client to include completeness warnings with its answer. An inventory search may find useful matches without finding every match.

Read limits and price labels

  • Summary results say whether saved totals are exact, stale, or provisional.
  • Text search is bounded. Paging through its results does not prove that no other matching cards exist.
  • Exact-price results include hasMore and nextCursor when another page is available.
  • Market values are USD raw-card references for an exact printing and condition. Listing prices keep their marketplace currency.
  • Unmatched, ambiguous, lot, and slab rows receive a status instead of a guessed market price.
  • Full reports require every page, even empty pages. If inventory changes during a report, restart it before adding the totals.
  • Report filters match saved fields. Missing fields are unknown; imported metadata is not independent catalog verification.
  • Price suggestions are unsaved. Check the catalog date, fees, and margin in Room before applying a price.
  • Record age does not tell you when each physical card arrived. Recorded orders may omit earlier sales; sell-through stays unknown when the necessary history is missing.

For an eBay-linked row, exact-price lookup uses the saved eBay price ahead of a queued local price. The tool does not contact eBay to refresh it.

Manage your tokens

  • Create one labeled token for each client.
  • Store the token in the client's secret or custom-header settings. Keep it out of prompts, URLs, screenshots, shared files, and support messages.
  • Copy it when it appears. Card Throne Room cannot show the full value again after you hide it or leave the page.
  • Revoke it if you stop using the client or think someone else has seen it.
  • Review labels and expiration dates in Read-only AI access. You can have up to ten active tokens.

Each request checks token status, expiration, account access, and suspension. The client cannot switch the token to another seller.

Resolve connection problems

  • If the settings are missing, check whether your account has access to this rollout and Inventory Manager.
  • If authentication fails, check the endpoint, trailing slash, bearer header, and token expiration. A revoked token needs a replacement.
  • If the client only supports automatic OAuth, use a client with custom-header support.
  • If search or catalog data is unavailable, keep that limitation in the answer and retry later.
  • If Card Throne Room returns a wait time, let the client wait before retrying.

No write access yet. No MCP tool starts an import, refreshes eBay, schedules work, or changes inventory. Creating and revoking tokens controls access only.
