How to list trading cards on eBay: photo to published listing

Configure the seller rules before scanning

Open Card Lister > Configuration. Account Settings hold account-wide choices such as region and seller location. Configuration Profiles hold the reusable listing rules for a particular workflow.

1. Complete Account Settings. Confirm the marketplace region and seller location. Unlimited sellers who use Inventory Manager can enable it here.
2. Choose or create a Configuration Profile. Keep separate profiles when different stores, card types, or pricing strategies need different defaults.
3. Set the eBay policies and categories. Review payment, return, and shipping policies plus any eBay Store categories used by the profile.
4. Review Title Builder, Pricing, Description, and Images. These settings become the starting point for the batch, but you still review every row before listing.
5. Save the profile. Then return to Card Lister and select it during Batch Setup.

Build the batch with the right listing flow

Start with the Card Lister mode that matches what buyers will purchase:

• List Singles for individually photographed raw cards.
• List w/ Stock Images when you are selecting catalog cards instead of uploading seller photos.
• List Lots when several component cards should become one eBay listing with quantity 1.
• List Slabs for graded cards, including PSA certification imports.

Complete Batch Setup before adding cards. Choose the game, Configuration Profile, photo mode, default condition or finish when appropriate, SKU behavior, and the supported Listing Type. Then upload photos, search the catalog, or import slabs.

Review the exact card in Match, then the listing in List

Use Match for identity

Confirm the card name, game, set, number, language, printing or finish, and condition. Market prices are references attached during listing prep, not a guarantee of what your copy will sell for.

Use List for seller-facing fields

Review the final title, Your Price, quantity, seller SKU, item specifics, description, store category, and photo order. A strong match does not excuse an incorrect title, price, or condition.

• Compare the card number and set before trusting similar artwork.
• Choose the final Variant or Finish explicitly when more than one printing exists.
• Check raw-card condition and slab grade/certification separately.
• Open the full images when glare, cropping, or front/back pairing is uncertain.
• Use the List view to catch duplicate seller SKUs and overly long titles.

Run Check Readiness before either output

Check Readiness is destination-aware. Fix every blocker before continuing and review warnings that could reduce listing quality.

Lots and graded/slab rows do not use the one-card catalog confirmation workflow, but they still must satisfy their own listing readiness requirements.

Choose the output that matches the job

Using the eBay CSV path

1. Choose Export CSV, then eBay CSV.
2. Upload the downloaded file through your eBay Seller Hub listing workflow.
3. Review eBay’s preview and resolve any marketplace validation errors there.
4. After the listings are truly live, return to the saved Card Lister batch and choose Mark As Listed.

Using Push to Inventory

1. Save the complete batch and choose Push to Inventory.
2. For eligible fixed-price non-lot batches, decide whether to enable Check Inventory Manager for possible duplicates. It is optional and off by default.
3. If you enable the check, review each suggested existing listing. Approve a merge only when the card, condition, listing, and physical stock relationship are correct.
4. Confirm the live publish. New listing results appear in Inventory Manager only after eBay returns real item IDs and Card Throne verifies the handoff.

Finish the batch—and recover without duplicating listings

A fully verified direct run moves the saved batch to Listed automatically. A CSV download does not; you mark the batch listed only after you confirm the external upload succeeded.

If a direct run is interrupted by a refresh, timeout, or service revision, reopen the same saved batch and choose Push to Inventory again. Card Throne resumes the saved job and reuses already accepted eBay item IDs. Do not clear completed item links or restart the entire batch as a new publish unless you intentionally want duplicate listings.

• Confirm new rows in Inventory Manager > Inventory.
• Check each physical location, available quantity, SKU, photo, and eBay item link.
• Use Check for changes for listings created or edited outside Card Throne. It checks only the recent listing-event history eBay still exposes—roughly the last 48 hours.
