How to use Card Lister

Choose the Free CSV workflow or the Unlimited workflow with Inventory Manager, Order Pick List, and Direct-to-eBay publishing.

1 Save your Configuration profile.
2 Create a Card Lister batch.
3 Review matches, prices, SKUs, and photos.
4 Export your CSV.

1. Set Up Configuration First

Open Card Lister > Configuration before making your first batch. Configuration profiles save your listing rules so you do not need to rebuild titles, pricing, policies, or image settings every time.

  1. Account Settings: choose your region and seller location. This controls export currency, marketplace region, and location fields.
  2. Configuration Profile: use the default profile or create a new one for a specific selling workflow.
  3. eBay Business Policies: enter the exact shipping, return, and payment policy names from your eBay account. Click the Manage link in Card Throne to open eBay Business Policies and find the names to copy.
  4. eBay Store Categories: add saved store category names and IDs if you use store categories. Leave this blank if you do not.
  5. Title Builder: choose the title fields you want and check the live 80-character preview.
  6. Pricing: set your multiplier, price floor, round-up cents, Best Offer settings, and any advanced pricing rules.
  7. Listing Description: write your description template using variables like {Title}, {Name}, {Set}, {Condition}, and {Price}.
  8. Listing Image Settings: choose original or square images, optional front/back combined images, and up to 3 extra listing images.
  9. Click Save Configuration.
Tip: If your eBay titles often run long, turn on Auto Truncate in the Title Builder. Card Lister can remove or abbreviate selected title parts when a generated title goes over 80 characters.

2. Create A Listing Batch

Open Card Lister > List Singles for normal raw card listing prep.

  1. Name your batch.
  2. Add a SKU prefix, such as CT.
  3. Leave Increment SKUs on if you want SKUs like CT-001, CT-002, and CT-003.
  4. Choose the game.
  5. Choose the saved configuration profile you want to use.
  6. Set the default condition and variant. Leave Variant on Auto when you are uploading a mix of card types, finishes, or variants in the same batch.
  7. Use Front + Back if you photographed both sides, or Front Only if you only need front images.
  8. Drop images into the upload box or click to browse.
  9. Review the pre-upload preview. Use Swap Front/Back if pairs are reversed.
  10. Click Scan Batch.

3. Review The Results

After scanning, review every row before export. Card Throne adds market prices during listing prep, but you should still confirm the final listing price, condition, variant, title, and photos.

Use Match View

  • Confirm the card match.
  • Check the variant and finish.
  • Correct the condition if needed.
  • Replace the match if the scanner picked the wrong card.

Use List View

  • Edit titles, prices, SKUs, and quantities.
  • Check photos and listing images.
  • Apply bulk edits to selected rows.
  • Combine duplicate rows when appropriate.

4. Export Your CSV

Click Export CSV, then choose the export destination.

  • eBay: use this for eBay listing CSVs.
  • TCGplayer: use this for supported raw single-card inventory rows.
  • Mana Pool: use this for eligible MTG raw single-card batches.
Free account note: use Export CSV for listing prep. List Direct on eBay is separate from the Free CSV workflow and requires Inventory Manager access.

5. Fix Readiness Issues Before Export

Card Lister checks the batch before downloading your CSV. If it stops the export, fix the listed blocker and try again.

  • Every eBay row has a title.
  • eBay titles are 80 characters or less.
  • Every eBay row has a listing price.
  • Raw cards have a condition.
  • Slabs have a grade and certification number.
  • Rows have front images.
  • SKUs are not duplicated unless you intentionally combined quantity.
  • TCGplayer and Mana Pool exports have the required product or SKU data.

6. Reopen Saved Work

Use Card Lister > Batches to reopen saved batches, continue editing, export again, or mark batches as listed.

1 Turn on Inventory Manager.
2 Import active eBay listings CSV.
3 List direct from Card Lister.
4 Use Order Pick List before shipping.

1. Set Up Configuration And Inventory Manager

Unlimited users should start in Card Lister > Configuration. Save your normal listing profile first, then turn on Inventory Manager before using Direct-to-eBay publishing.

  1. Choose your region and seller location.
  2. Enter your eBay Business Policy names. These are the exact policy names from eBay. Click Manage in Card Throne to open eBay Business Policies and copy the names.
  3. Set up your Title Builder, Pricing, Listing Description, and Listing Image Settings.
  4. In Account Settings, turn on Enable eBay Inventory Manager.
  5. Click Save Configuration.
Why this matters: Direct-to-eBay publishing can hand new listings into Inventory Manager only when the setting is enabled before you publish.

2. Import Your Current eBay Inventory First

Before using Inventory Manager for the first time, upload your active eBay listings CSV. This gives Card Throne a mirror of what eBay already has listed, including item IDs, SKUs, quantities, and photos.

  1. Open Inventory Manager.
  2. Connect your eBay account if it is not connected yet.
  3. Export your active listings report from eBay Seller Hub.
  4. In Inventory Manager, open the import area and upload the active listings CSV.
  5. Open Inventory and confirm the imported titles, SKUs, quantities, prices, photos, and eBay item links look right.
Important: active listings are not the same as orders. Active listings show what is live on eBay. Order sync or order import shows what sold and needs to be pulled.

3. Create And Review A Card Lister Batch

Use the same Card Lister setup flow as the Free plan, but choose the configuration profile that has Inventory Manager enabled.

  1. Open Card Lister > List Singles, List Lots, List w/ Stock Images, or List Slabs.
  2. Name the batch and set the SKU prefix.
  3. Choose the game, condition, and configuration profile.
  4. Leave Variant on Auto when you are uploading a mix of card types, finishes, or variants in the same batch.
  5. Upload or search for cards, then review matches, variants, conditions, photos, titles, SKUs, and prices.

4. Use Direct-to-eBay Publish

When the batch is ready, click List Direct on eBay. Card Throne verifies the rows first, checks for duplicate or matching active listings, then guides you through the publish path.

  • If Card Throne finds an existing active listing that appears to match, review the merge suggestion before approving it.
  • If you merge into an existing listing, Card Throne can add quantity to that listing instead of creating a duplicate.
  • The merge dialog defaults to keeping the existing eBay listing price. Choose the new Card Lister row price only when you want to revise the live price.
  • Rows that need new listings are verified before Card Throne sends live AddFixedPriceItem calls to eBay.
  • After eBay returns item IDs, Card Throne saves those item IDs back to the batch and stages the new rows into Inventory Manager.
Retry safety: if a browser refresh, timeout, or revision switch interrupts a live publish after eBay accepted a row, retry from the saved batch. Card Throne skips rows that already have eBay item IDs and can recover accepted rows from eBay duplicate-request responses.

5. Review Inventory Manager After Publishing

Direct-to-eBay publish brings new listings into Inventory Manager after eBay returns real item IDs. Review those rows before relying on them for quantity and order workflows.

  1. Open Inventory Manager.
  2. Check Inventory for the new listings, quantities, SKUs, photos, and eBay item links.
  3. Use Find Duplicates only for duplicate or combine decisions.
  4. If Find Duplicates creates pending changes, click Apply Pending Changes only after the parent and child rows are correct.
  5. Before changing live eBay quantities, sync or import awaiting-shipment orders, then open Push to eBay and click Preview eBay Changes.
  6. Start eBay Publish only when the preview has zero blockers.

6. Use Order Pick List For Sold Orders

Order Pick List is the daily pull workflow. It tells you which sold cards need to be pulled, where they are located, and whether any row needs review before shipping.

  1. Open Order Pick List.
  2. Click Sync eBay Orders before publishing quantity changes or pulling the day's orders.
  3. Review rows marked short, stale, or needs review before shipping.
  4. Pull the cards from the shown locations.
  5. Use Mark Picked after the physical card is pulled.
  6. Use Download Pick CSV when you want a printable pull sheet.
Daily rule: sync or import awaiting-shipment orders before publishing eBay quantity changes. That prevents already-sold stock from being pushed back to eBay.

7. Keep eBay And Inventory In Sync

After publishing changes or making major edits directly in eBay, import a fresh active listings CSV so the eBay mirror catches up. Use Inventory Manager for inventory corrections and Push to eBay for live eBay changes; use Order Pick List for sold-order pulling.
